Dr. Chris Carmichael is a physical therapist with nearly a decade of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy. He believes that physical therapists are movement experts and uses his knowledge and clinical skills to improve the movement of others. He has a passion for spines, sports, and working with all athletes both young and old. He is known for his custom-tailored exercise prescriptions for patients, and the use of strength training and exercise to make life easier.
Chris has furthered his education with extensive study in treatment of endurance athletes, strength athletes, Mckenzie method, SFMA, kettlebell training and treatment for the aging athlete in the clinical setting.
In his free time Chris is a husband and father to two kids, loves rock climbing, running, cycling, lifting heavy weights, and being in nature. He is originally from Oklahoma, but now calls Northern VA home.
